Served at Walter’s Steakhouse in Wilmington, this prime rib is definitely a meal that you must try when in Delaware. The locals claim that it is the very best in the entire state and people have left stating it is the best they have ever had, anywhere. Even just the Queen Cut is quite a large portion, top it off with crab imperial and you are in for a real treat.

2. Thrasher’s Fries

Now before you say that fries are not a meal, you have to try the giant bucket of iconic Thrasher fries that are served on the Boardwalk. Since 1929, these fries have been a Delaware favorite.

3. Muskrat

Yes you read that right; nothing says “Slower Lower” like the muskrat dinner the Southern Grill of Ellendale serves up on Wednesdays.

4. Crab Cakes

Trying the crab cakes served at Woody’s in Dewey Beach is an absolute must. These crab cakes are not only considered to be the absolute best in Delaware and due to their meaty and always fresh ingredients, they are actually some of the absolute best in the entire region. Aficionados have gone as far as saying that they definitely rival the well-known Maryland crab cakes.

Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth Beach serves a delicious Cioppino. What could be better than shrimp, fish, mussels, clams and scallops all fresh-from-the-bay and simmering in a tomato, garlic wine broth which is served over pasta.
